In order for our first graders not to go to the "first S", we definitely need to build more schools. And given the boom in the birth rate of the 10s, this is now a top priority. Children do not have enough classes, and sometimes places to sit.
Last year I lived in Almaty Almagul microdistrict and saw how actively that area of the city is being built up. Whole blocks of residential complexes! But I didn't know how things were with schools — I hadn't even seen them.
Now I read the news that the construction company Saba Group will build a new building for the 125th school. It will be able to accept 600 schoolchildren. These are new classrooms and a gym.
It turns out that next year the children will go to a more spacious school. Including a new stream of first-graders. I don't think it will be less than this year.
The news is good, and it's nice that business helps to solve such moments. But now I have a question - shouldn't the state be doing this? Can we shift the focus from pretentious and incomprehensible initiatives to the active construction of schools for our children?
