The first PCR laboratory of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, which allows testing not only for COVID-19, but also other types of infections, is ready for operation, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported, Kazakhstan Today reports. The laboratory was created on the basis of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Center of the Armed Forces in the city of Almaty. The premises of the building were repaired and prepared, after the installation of the necessary equipment, commissioning work was carried out to launch the PCR laboratory.
"The commissioning of the laboratory will allow to ensure a wide coverage of the personnel of the Armed Forces with testing for coronavirus. The Minister of Defense gave a corresponding instruction about this during a regular staff meeting at the Ministry of Defense. The personnel of the Armed Forces have been actively involved in measures to combat the spread of coronavirus from the first days. : the military carried out disinfection, served at checkpoints, participated in patrolling settlements, providing medical assistance and in many other directions. Given the constant presence in close proximity to sources of dangerous infection, early detection of possible infection is especially important, "the department noted.
It should be noted that the creation of our own virological laboratory became possible thanks to the charitable support of the construction company "SABA GROUP", the owner of which, Arystanbek Beykhanuly Sabali, made a personal initiative in this.
The company purchased and donated the necessary equipment for the laboratory, provided technical support and even organized staff training.
The presence of its own laboratory in the Armed Forces will provide the personnel with the necessary volume of PCR diagnostics, which is distinguished by high accuracy and efficiency.
